ISMAR Sponsored Events

The objectives of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance, ISMAR, are to advance and disseminate knowledge of the principles, recent developments and applications of magnetic resonance in physics, chemistry biology, medicine and other disciplines; to foster scientific interaction among magnetic resonance spectroscopists throughout the world.

With this in mind, in addition to its regular triennial meetings, ISMAR offers sponsorship for conferences, workshops, schools in all fields on Magnetic Resonance with emphasis on rapidly growing MR communities and fostering young scientists.

Information on becoming an ISMAR sponsored event can be found here.

Upcoming Sponsored Events

  • International EPR School, Rehovot, Israel, January 12-18, 2013

The school will take place at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot. The purpose of the school is to ensure that young scientists are familiar with all the new advances that EPR can offer and can develop into EPR experts. This is an initiative of the EFEPR (European Federation of EPR groups); the school at Weizmann will be the 6th such event. For further information please contact: Daniella.Goldfarb@weizmann.ac.il

  • Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer Imaging (CEST), Annapolis, MD, USA - October 15-17, 2012

A workshop focused on Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer Imaging (CEST) will be held in Annapolis, MD, USA on October 15-17, 2012. Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer Imaging is a new field of NMR and MRI research that is of interest to physicists, chemists, biochemists, biologists and physicians. For further details please contact: Michael McMahon

  • ICMRBS, Lyon, France – August 19 – 24, 2012

The XXVth International Conference on Magnetic Resonance in Biological Systems (ICMRBS) will be held August 19-24, 2012 at the Lyon Convention Center in Lyon, France. For detailed information please see http://www.pasteur.fr/infosci/conf/sb/ICMRBS

  • BioNMR, Barcelona, Spain – March 12 -14, 2012

This ISMAR-supported meeting will bring together experts from NMR and computational biology as well as representatives of European ESFRI infrastructures in these areas. Computational tools are crucial to exploit the variety of parameters that can be measured by NMR to build a meaningful picture of biomolecular structure and dynamics. The symposium is promoted and sponsored by the EU infrastructure project BioNMR (contract 261863) to strengthen the structural biology European Research Area served by the NMR infrastructures and to reinforce its links with complementary platforms in Europe. This activity is organized in collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the University of Oxford. For further information and registration forms please see http://mmb.irbbarcelona.org/BioNMR2012.
