ISMAR Fellows

In 2008 the ISMAR Council established a Fellowship to identify the highest achievers in magnetic resonance. Fellowship carries with it an associated responsibility and advocacy for this community of science.

The ISMAR Council is pleased to announce the election of the following ISMAR Fellows for 2011:

Following a detailed nomination and selection process in 2008, the Council identified an inaugural cohort of Fellows including the 13 living ISMAR Prize winners, along with many other pioneers and leaders of MR, including the many Nobel Laureates. All ISMAR Prize winners are automatically elected to the Fellowship. Additionally, up to five Fellows are elected each year by majority vote of the Council from recent ISMAR plenary lecturers and written nominations by current Fellows.  Fellows are elected on the basis of their contributions to the field of magnetic resonance, either through the impact of their research, or through advancing greater understanding of magnetic resonance amongst the magnetic resonance research community. In the spirit of ISMAR, all branches of magnetic resonance are considered.
